Scarcity Mindset

Our local Buy Nothing Group has sprouted, and I was surprised by the overwhelming scarcity mindset.

A scarcity mindset is when you are so obsessed with a lack of something — usually time or money — that you can’t seem to focus on anything else, no matter how hard you try.

The Hollow Hit of $1M

Today, I joined the two-comma net worth club.  I realize I feel absolutely no different today than I did yesterday, and I don't think I will feel any different tomorrow, either.

Where do we go from here? (Covid 2020)

I would never tell someone to risk health for money in this current climate by Airbnb'ing, and so many of my prior posts just don't feel empathetic to the world's current struggle. Acknowledging Privilege

Content Warnings: This post contains references to racism and death.

White privilege denotes both obvious and less obvious passive advantages that white people may not recognize they have, which distinguishes it from overt bias or prejudice. The effects can be seen in professional, educational, and personal contexts.

Money Partnership

After a year of marriage, my partner and I have finally figured out what works for us.

To Roll, or Not to Roll

I'm leaving my old company behind and starting somewhere new. What about my old retirement accounts?
